Who we are…
The name “HAGAHAG” came from the ancient Bicol term meaning ladder – it suggests the though wilderness travel is a difficult and risky, it can be done with sheer determination, strong desire and positive attitudes and taking it one step at a time just like climbing up a ladder… Those who wish to follow in our footsteps must cultivate in themselves the qualities that propelled the first members up the ladder of success in climbing as well as in life…
The Hagahag logo is an artistic representation of a bunch of leaves whose trunks resemble a man with a backpack in an H-shape. H represents the first letter of Hagahag. The man is stepping on an M-shape, which represents the mountain and at its foot, a river that flows in a C-shape fashion. These letters forms the organization’s initials HMC. The logo represents the ideal of every HAGAHAG member to always think of his environment in every endeavor he does, to be with nature.
